Blog Trends

Hugh has gone back to incredibly interesting with his recent move to Microsoft. Over the last few months, his blog hasn’t been as interesting as it was in the days of his innovation with Stormhoek and English Cut. Check out his commentary on Open Source and Microsoft.

Guy has lost my attention very quickly, and is running the risk of being unsubscribed. The signal to noise ratio is not looking good, as his blog now feels like it is more about him than his audience. A sad change from what was once a great source of information.

Seth continues to be brilliant. Constant stream of insight on many topics. Check out the blog for his new book, the Dip.

Trizle has rapidly risen in grabbing my attention. Daily insights into all aspects of entrepreneurship, with Kathy Sierra style fun.

I always thought Kawasaki’s blog was mostly about me me me — by which I mean it was always really about him him him. He tried to dress it up as being about you you you — by which I mean me me me or you you you or someone else someone else someone else — but he never had me fooled.

I stopped reading it quite some time ago. I guess since then Kawasaki has stopped dressing his writing up.

I don’t have a problem with people writing about their lives, or with promoting themselves, for that matter. It’s when they’re disingenuous that it bothers me.

I guess for me, I’ve been able to ignore that aspect as the content Guy provided has been really good. Of late that quality of post has suffered and isn’t providing much in the way of new information. This led to my dissatisfaction.
